Nikola Tesla (1856 – 1943) a mechanical and electrical engineer, was maybe the most prolific inventor ever.
"the man who shed light over the face of the earth"
Often described as the most important scientist of the modern age, Tesla was a significant figure in the late 19th and early 20th centuries for his inventions in the field of electricity and magnetism.

Personally, I find Nikola Tesla to be enigmatic as he is intelligent and outspoken. I consider him to be those things because he had contributed so much to the world we know today, and yet it still seems like he could have done more. One of the primary reasons that his life works were so extraordinary, is the fact that he had his mind set on constructing countless, unimaginable things, people during his time might not have achieved or even considered if it was not for the ideas and theories he came up with. I am also in awe of how he managed to bypass the obstacles he have gone through and his true value as an educated man. All in all, Nikola Tesla surely has outdone himself as a physicist---pushing the boundaries of innovation and scientific ideals to the next level. I, for sure am impressed at how Tesla has formulated his ideas for the future. Tesla's contributions are way ahead of his time, and I strongly believe that without his ideas, we would have had a harder time trying to reach technology's status to what it is now.
For obvious reasons, Tesla has improved our lives ALOT. Although we sometimes take it for granted, we can never be uncertain that the AC system is a major part of how we take on our daily life: it is a part of our lifestyle, a part of our nature. It is without a doubt that Tesla is sometimes referred to as the "The man who invented the twentieth century" by his contemporary biographers, he truly deserves the title, no matter how crucial his life came to be or how his works were often criticised than not. In other words, Tesla was able to bring out the different possibilities of the modern era, he produced the basis of some of the most highly coveted pieces of technology we come to know of today: wireless communication, energy consumption and distribution, machine tools, and autonomous systems.

The alternating current or "AC" as it is often called, is probably one of the most widely-used innovations up to this day, this of course would not be possible without the developments of Tesla, whose patents and theoretical work was used for the basis of the modern "AC". His works also include the polyphase distribution systems and the AC motor, both of which he ushered during the Second Industrial Revolution.
